What exactly is plantar fasciitis?
This ailment is commonly caused by an inflammation of the tissues in your foot that extends from the heel to the toes. Constant irritation and inflammation results in heel pain.
Heel pain, also known as plantar fasciitis, is related to a structural problem in the foot. People who have issues with their arches, or have overly flat feet are prime candidates for developing heel pain.
Symptoms of heel pain:
- Discomfort in the foot
- Pain on the bottom of the heel
- Pain that is worse upon waking
- Pain that does not go away
- Pain increases over months
